Lost me around page 100. The characters were likable & world creating really interesting, but even that couldn't carry the oh so contrived lumbering weight of the plot. Sorry. I wonder if this was Jodi's first book, 'cos that's how it seemed. Lots of potential, but not quite hitting the mark. I'm really glad this wasn't the first one of hers I've read 'cos it would have put me off and I would have missed out on Light my Fire, which I really liked.
