I’ve been writing stories since I was able to use a pencil and before that, I used to tell them to people. Of course, I still talk nonstop but now I’ve decided to try and make a go of being a writer.

A few years ago I decided to quit my job and stay home with my middle child. As a result I had a lot of conversations in a sing song voice but no real outlet for adult thoughts and words. I decided that I’d start trying to make my writing into more than just a hobby. Later, I was on bedrest with my third child and the nine to ten hours a day writing gave me the chance to really put my promise to myself into action.

And so here I am. I still love to write although through wonderful fate and good fortune, I’m able to share what I write with others now. It’s a wonderful life!

The basics: I’m a mom, a partner, a best friend and a daughter. We all live in the rainy but beautiful Pacific Northwest and I spent my late evenings writing like a fiend when I finally wrestle all of my kids to bed.
